Having just moved in, the new owner was desperate to sort out the garden and have somewhere to enjoy what was left of the summer…

… and this was the result, as per customers requirements for a quick and cost effective solution. Here we have used concrete fence posts with slot-in panels, additional trellis as an extra feature and pimpled paving with 20mm shingle to soften the edges, fronted with wooden boards.

Here, the customer wanted to soften the impact of his garage in the back garden. So we lifted some of the patio to create planting space, attached trellis to the wall to allow a clematis to grow across and installed a water feature.

These wooden posts provided an attractive raised border and an effective edging for the newly laid gravel drive.

This beech hedge was getting far too tall and becoming unneccesarily tricky to maintain.

2ft came off the face and 4ft came off the top, creating more space & allowing more light into the garden. In addition, it is now a lot easier to maintain saving the customer money in the long term.

Initially planted as a hedgerow but left to grow out of hand, these 57 conifer trees needed heavily reducing to allow more light into the garden. Around 20ft came out the top of all the conifers and the finished result is pictured on the right.

Here are 2 pictures of work in progress, the use of lifts was required for better access to the tops of the trees and also helped speed up the whole process.

A smaller lift was used here for better access to the top of this hedge which had not been cut for 3 years.

3 years growth was taken off the top and the sides trimmed to get this hedge back in check.
